National Leadership Seminar- From March 15th to March 17th is this year’s National Leadership Seminar! It’s location moves across the nationevery year, and this year it has landed (fairly) close to us in Camp Cherry, Iowa. Come to learn new leadership skills and strengthen old ones, and transportation may even be provided by the lodge! More info on fees soon! Save the date! It is definitely worth it!

Fort Snelling Wreath Cleanup- Join us on February 2nd at Fort Snelling to help clean up wreaths that have been hung on the veteran’s graves! Each year, we clean up about 37,000 wreaths with the assistance of approximately 900 scouts, and every hand is welcome.

Vigil Nominations are due! Vigil is the highest honor that can be bestowed on a member of the OA. Anyone may nominate a BSA OA member for Vigil. Letters of recommendation must be submitted to Gene by the end of December, in order for them to be reviewed and turned in to the Lodge. The nomination forms and the eligibility list can be found at oa.nsbsa.org. The Vigil list is updated periodically.

Winter Banquet- Join the Lodge at winter banquet on February 16th for food and to celebrate those who have received awards! While registration is not open yet, it will be hosted at Base Camp.

INDIAN WINTER- From the 8th of March to the 10th will be Indian Winter at Stearns Scout Camp! Come join other OA members from our section to learn about ceremonies and how to make regalia for Ceremony Team! There will be a $35 fee. Register at https://www.scoutingevent.com/250-indianwinter2019 . Please come and have fun!

Please pay your dues! If you want to pay your dues, please go to the Lodge website http://oa.nsbsa.org. They are fifteen dollars for the entire year! Also, find The Paul E. Wethern chapter group on Facebook to keep up with the chapter.

For Ceremony Team Members: Just as a reminder, Ceremony Team members will meet at 7 pm at the Christ Lutheran Church in Blaine on the first and third Sunday of each month.
