PAUL E. WETHERN CHAPTER OCTOBER 2018 NEWSLETTER!
Conclave – The Paul E. Wethern annual conclave was held at Camp Ajawah the weekend of Sep. 28th-Sep. 30th. The weekend included cheerful service, brotherhood, friendship and ceremonies. 45 new ordeal candidates were inducted. 28 Ordeal members sealed their membership by completing Brotherhood. And the many members who attended completed nearly 900 hours of service for the camp!
Thank you to the outgoing Chapter officers and congratulations to the incoming officers! We wish to thank all youth leaders for their year of leadership for our chapter! Outgoing youth leaders are: Riley Wenisch, Chapter Chief; Vice Chief, Nick Albee; Membership Vice Chief, Alex Dabrowski; Communications Vice Chief, Brennan Johnson; and Finance Vice Chief, Logan Hockert. Joseph Bley, Vice Chief of Program was re-elected for the same position.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION:
Each year, awards are given to recognize Chapter members who have exemplified the ideals of the Order of the Arrow. This year’s recipients are: Youth Arrowman of the Year: Joseph Bley, Vice Chief of Program. Youth Witscheman: Logan Hockert, Vice Chief of Finance. Adult Arrowman of Year: Matt Moen. Achewon: Kevin Conelly. The Witscheman award goes to an outstanding first year member who is an active participant during his first year of membership. The Arrowman of the Year is awarded by the Chapter Chief and Chapter Advisors. The Witscheman Award is represented by a large diamond willow walking stick. This is passed from one long-time, active Arrowman to another each year. The walking stick is to accompany the Arrowman to all Scouting events until the next conclave. The walking stick has already participated in weekend 2 of Wood Badge! I

All youth Arrowmen are welcome! The Ceremony Team meets on Sundays at approximately 7:00 p.m.at Christ Lutheran Church in Blaine.
