Winter Banquet Join the Lodge at Winter Banquet and celebrate all those getting awards that night. Our very own Keith Dabrowski is receiving the Founders Award that night! There will be food and speakers. The speakers are Wally Ripplinger and Sean Gibson. It will be at Base Camp January 13th from 5-8pm. If you haven’t registered, walk-ins are accepted, but dinner is not guaranteed.
National Order of the Arrow Conference - The National Order of the Arrow Conference is coming this summer. It will be July 30th to Aug 4th, 2018 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. There is patch trading, classes to take, games to play, contests to join, etc. endless fun that you'll be talking about for weeks! There may still spots open so please register while you can! Elections- It is that time of the year again. Time to schedule your yearly OA elections. Please contact Alex Dabrowski at 763-427-0037 to set up a time before March 15th or sign up at Round Table, if you did not turn in your date already.
OA Ceremony Team would like to invite interested Scouts to come learn more about ceremonies and be a part of the team! The Ceremony Team meets on Sundays in Blaine. For more information, contact Mark Haapoja at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fort Snelling Wreaths Come join Kaposia Chapter as we help them remove wreaths from tombstones at Fort Snelling on February 3rd. Please be at the green trailer marked activity center at 8:15. It is free and you will get a free patch! If you have any wire cutters or an empty trailer, please bring those. They will be a huge help.
ICE FISHING- The annual ice fishing competition is coming this year Feb. 10th! It may seem that it is far away but it will come fast. Please contact Tim Mohler at 763-657-9926 or Riley Wenisch at 612-594-2821 to find out about staffing the event. There will be an ice fishing clinic to teach people how to ice fish.
Indian Winter- March 9th-11th will be this year’s Indian winter. It is an event that focuses on beading, leather working, making regalia, etc. as well as OA ceremonies and inductions. It will be at Camp Wilderness in Park Rapids. The cost of this event is $35 but please bring extra money, please register on the lodge page.
National Leadership Seminar- It has come once again. The National Leadership Seminar is closer to home this year, it is at Camp St. Croix in Hudson Wisconsin March 23-25. Registration opened December 17th! Anyone wanting more leadership training should find out more at https://central.oa-bsa.org/region-programs/training/national-leadership-seminar/ The price is $225. Financial assistance is available.
Chapter Lock-in- There will be a chapter video game lock-in April 13th-14th . Please bring games you would like to play excluding first person shooters. Price and place are yet to be determined.
