A Farewell from Jamie Lamprecht
Wednesday, June 04, 2014
Hello Three Rivers District,

Let me first start off by saying that it has been a pleasure serving as your District Director for the past 4 ½ years here in the Three Rivers District.  However, my time as your district professional is coming to an end.  I have accepted a promotion with the Greater St. Louis Area Council, BSA as a Field Director, where I will oversee 5 districts in the West and South Metro Areas of St. Louis County as well as overseeing 9 Professional Scouters starting July 1st.  This is a great opportunity for me and my family, as my wife and I both grew up in the St. Louis Area, and most of our family still resides in the area.  My last day with the Northern Star Council will be on Thursday, June 26th.  There will be a farewell celebration before I leave later this month and that info will come later in a separate email.  I hope that you can join us at that celebration, as well as joining us at the Steak Fry THIS Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at 6:30pm at Rum River Scout Camp (Colbert Lodge).

After my departure, please direct any Three Rivers Communications to North Team Field Director, Eric McFee (emcfee@nsbsa,org) until a new executive is hired to replace me.

My future email will be: Jamie.Lamprecht@scouting.org so please keep in touch and look me up if you are ever in the St. Louis Area.

Once again, it has truly been a pleasure and I thank you for all of your support and all that you do for Scouting and the youth in our community.

School Night for Scouting – September 18th!
Tuesday, June 03, 2014
We are going back to our one night Recruiting event.  Thursday, September 18th, 2014 will be the Northern Star Council, BSA School Night For Scouting.  This will be promoted across the state and units will need to help cover every elementary school in the district for one hour this evening to collect registrations.  This will be the only flyers that will go out for FYR this year, so please ensure that your pack is holding their recruitment event on this night only.  We will have our turn in that night from 8-10pm at the Campmaster Building at Rum River.  All new youth applications and fees MUST be turned in this night.
